Gun Control Groups Admit They're 'Crushed' and 'Devastated' by Trump Victory

Donald Trump's sweeping victory is a major setback for the anti-gun activists working to dismantle our Second Amendment rights, and they know it.

On X.com, Moms Demand Action executive director Angela Ferrell-Zabala admitted that the organization is "crushed" by Trump's win, while vowing to "organize like our lives depend on it."

They can "fight like hell" to keep their anti-civil rights mission going, but they can't do a thing to stop Trump from dismantling the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, de-weaponizing the ATF, and appointing federal judges who understand that the right to keep and bear arms is just as important and fundamental as every other enumerated right in the Constitution.

Everytown for Gun Safety, meanwhile, declared Trump's win "devastating" to their agenda.

It's true that the gun control movement has faced countless setbacks, and for good reason. Their ideology isn't about public safety or protecting kids. It's about disarming the American people. We can and have reduced violent crime without imposing new infringements on our right to keep and bear arms. We just need to focus our efforts on those responsible for committing those crimes instead of pinning the blame on lawful gun owners or the Second Amendment.

In contrast to Everytown and Moms Demand Action, the gun grabbers at Brady are trying to put on a brave face today.

Yep, it is. It's about tens of millions of gun owners standing up to protect and defend their fundamental right to keep and bear arms. And thanks to the election results, we're in a much better position to do so.

The gun control lobby isn't going to pack up its tent and surrender just because Trump won a historic victory on Tuesday. They've been playing the long game for decades, and even if their efforts are stymied at the federal level they will continue their attacks in territory that's friendlier to them. States like California, New York, and New Jersey will be their laboratories, and they'll enlist as many anti-gun mayors and city councilors to enact local ordinances, file lawsuits against the firearms industry, and craft a culture designed to make gun ownership taboo.

They're not going to quit, and we can't afford to get complacent. Trump's victory is an opportunity to put the Second Amendment on solid ground for decades to come, to educate the American people on the importance of our right to keep and bear arms, and to combat the steady stream of misinformation and lies from those intent on destroying our Second Amendment rights. There's a lot of work to be done, but I know that the 2A community is up to the task.
