Biden and his ilk are to blame for record gun sales

In what’s been a terrible period the last few weeks, several active shooter events occurred, resulting in the taking of innocent lives. The anti-gun and anti-civil liberty camp is disgustingly dancing in the blood of those we mourn the loss of. These political hacks that move in to “strike while the iron’s hot”, or as Rahm Emanuel once said “Never allow a good crisis go to waste”, are pushing for measures that both the people don’t want, and are unconstitutional. The nuance of working towards mitigating any crime, nevermind these tragic high-profile events, has plagued society since the beginning of time. The murder of innocents is taboo/prohibited/morally repugnant in nearly all cultures across all time, excepting a rare few uncivilized instances/cultures.

Being in a free society, the anti-freedom caucus, if they were honestly interested in really addressing the issues, they’d be having the hard conversations that involve conceding that their way of doing business is wrong and an abject failure. As a matter of fact, the progressive disarmament agenda has fueled the sales of firearms, as prohibitionist ways, in addition to failures in public safety policy, has driven Americans across the country to obtain firearms. The group of politicians that want to see less firearms in the hands of all citizens have driven sales through the roof. This is an unintended consequence of their ideologies…unless of course the progressives really do want to see arms sales skyrocket, in the hopes they’ll be misused in order to make their point.

This concept of the left of center anti-freedom caucus being to blame for a good amount of what’s going on did not escape our friends at the Second Amendment Foundation. Accordingly, they too agree the gun-grabbers are to blame for the rise of firearm sales.

In the aftermath of this week’s murderous rampage by a deranged killer inside an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, gun sales have reportedly “rocketed” and the Second Amendment Foundation said today that President Joe Biden and his Democrat colleagues in Congress have only themselves to blame.

“Whether he likes it or not, Joe Biden is largely responsible for this,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “When he went on national television to provide comfort to a grieving nation, and instead launched a tirade against law-abiding firearm owners and gun manufacturers, he only further divided the country and used the bully pulpit of the presidency to foment irrational fear and loathing of businesses and especially people who have absolutely no connection to the crime.

“In their bid to spread hysteria and hate,” he continued, “Biden and his fellow Democrat gun prohibitionists on Capitol Hill, led by Sen. Charles Schumer, have actually talked more people into buying more guns. Stock prices at Smith & Wesson and Sturm, Ruger & Company have reportedly spiked.

“If Biden and his gun prohibitionist pals are concerned there are too many guns in civilian hands,” he added, “they should lower their rhetoric and cut back on their attacks on our constitutional rights. The public realizes the importance of the Second Amendment, which guarantees we will have the tools to defend ourselves against the kinds of dangerous lunatics that liberal policies have allowed to roam free.”

After watching our political elites hang many of us out to dry in regards to pulling both funding for police and not properly implementing the rule of law and order, many have come to the realization that we’re on our own when it comes to self-defense. Pair that with the revolving door justice system, with prosecutors letting dangerous criminals out without charges or released on their own recognizance, and members of the government saying they want to outlaw firearm ownership/ban certain classes of firearms, what do these political hacks expect? People want to be able to defend themselves and their families.

Earlier this week, SAF and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms issued a joint statement in reaction to the unspeakable attack at Robb Elementary in Uvalde.

“We are all Americans,” Gottlieb stated, “and we all are devastated by the psychopathic actions of an individual who had, it is now emerging, exhibited warning signs that appear to have been ignored. But Americans are not ignoring the warning signs from gun prohibitionists that they are about to accelerate their crusade against the Second Amendment.

“That’s why more people are rushing to gun shops,” he said. “There is no small irony in the fact that Biden, Schumer and their anti-gun colleagues are the driving force behind this sudden spike in gun sales. Joe Biden may go down in history as a better gun salesman than Barack Obama or Bill and Hillary Clinton, and that’s no small accomplishment. Biden may be remembered as the ‘Top Gun’ of retail firearm sales.”

The current Biden-Harris administration has failed in every corner of policy they promised to deliver on. Whether or not they’ll be able to get any freedom limiting measures implemented via the legislature remains to be seen. The executive moves that Biden is being told to make will not go without challenge, and judicial override is a likely outcome to the Big Guy’s policies. What will continue to happen though is, the stronger grip the anti-civil rights members of our government make on our liberties, the more their goals will slip through their fingers. Gun sales were at an all time high prior to this renewed push for so-called gun control. Whelp, doubling down on the efforts, Biden rhetorically said hold my beer.
