It’s easy to forget that not everyone with close ties to Parkland went full-on anti-gunner. After all, look at what the media has put forward for us to look at left and right since the massacre took place. We’ve seen David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez, Delaney Tarr, and numerous parents who all sit there and tell us how evil guns are. It’s easy to forget that they’re not the totality of Parkland.
One notable exception has been Kyle Kashuv, who has made a name for himself slapping down his classmates for their stupidity, but he’s not alone.
Andrew Pollack lost his daughter in the tragic shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in February. While many who survived the shooting have become anti-gun advocates, Pollack has taken a different approach.
In a tweet sent Thursday, Pollack pointed out just who was responsible for failing to protect his daughter (hint: NOT the NRA) and did not accept House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) pledge for more gun control proposals.
What/who failed my daughter:
•Dem policies
•Dem Sheriff
•Dem Super intendant
•Dem school board
•Dem teachers unionNow Nancy Pelosi is saying that if the Dems take back the House they will take away guns to honor Parkland victims
From a victims dad, go to hell Dems #FixIt

Boom.
He’s 100 percent right.
Anyone who has looked at Parkland sees that the biggest failures all came well before the shooting started on February 14th. They came when the school did nothing to deal with the violent menace in its midst, even though it knew the shooter had psychological issues. They came when the Broward County Sheriff’s Office failed to act on the numerous complaints made against the future gunman, many of which would have made him ineligible to purchase a firearm.
Numerous failures by school and sheriff’s office officials all piled up until that killer walked into the school with an AR-15 and opened fire. They all dropped the ball, then turned as quickly as possible to point the finger at the National Rifle Association. They had to deflect the blame before people decided to bring back lynch mobs.
Unfortunately for them, not everyone bought it. Mr. Pollack, in particular, knows precisely who to blame for his daughter’s tragic death. If responsibility rests on anyone other than the killer, it’s the legions of Democrats who set the stage for him to eventually be able to carry out the slaughter of innocent children and teachers.
There’s nothing about any of this that rests at the feet of gun rights advocates, especially since existing laws should easily have been sufficient, and if the school and sheriff’s officials hadn’t dropped the ball completely.
Democrats are trying to champion the Parkland bunch for the simple reason that if they don’t, people might see all the ways their policies contributed to the tragedy. They can’t allow that to happen, so they’ve enlisted their cronies in the media to keep the spin machine going.
The thing is, a lot of us know. We know precisely who all contributed and who failed to prevent the massacre of 17 people on Valentine’s Day. And none of them were pro-gun activists or groups, that’s for damn sure.
