Jacksonville Gun Show Attracts Thousands After Biden Executive Orders

President Joe Biden wants gun control. He’s pushing for it in Congress, but in the meantime, he’s issued executive orders seeking to undermine the Second Amendment. He doesn’t like guns in the hands of people like you and me.

We’ve seen this one before, though.

What happens when you have an anti-gun president, especially one who is trying desperately to restrict our Second Amendment rights? That’s right, we see more people buying guns.

That’s precisely what happened in Jacksonville, FL.

Thousands of people attended the North Florida Gun and Knife Show over the weekend at the Duval County Fairgrounds.

The two-day event was held after President Joe Biden announced a half-dozen executive actions to combat gun violence. The president also called on Congress to pass legislation to reduce gun violence after recent mass shootings in Atlanta, Colorado and South Carolina.

“Anytime something comes out of Washington and they say the word ‘gun,’ everything goes up,” said Victor Bean, the owner of Southern Classic Gun and Knife Shows.

This weekend’s event attracted firstcomers and gun enthusiasts.

Mike Cecala is with Spartac Manufacturing LLC. He said his company specializes in AR-15s.

“At the gun shows, most importantly, things are done the right way. Background checks are completed. The vendors are professional. We are a gun business,” Cecala said. “There are a lot of misconceptions out there that anybody can walk up to here and buy a gun. That’s just not true. We follow all the laws of the laws, with the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) and government, obviously.”

Of course, Biden claimed you could buy whatever you wanted at a gun show with no background check, which is absolute BS. You might find an individual selling their personal property, but it would be no different than buying a gun from a friend. You just happen to meet the guy at a gun show.

An estimated 6,500 people attended the gun show, which really shouldn’t be surprising to anyone. With Biden’s push on guns, people are going to start buying whatever they can as fast as they can. That’s the natural reaction to restrictions. People who only sort of wanted a gun are now more likely to buy because they don’t know for how much longer they’ll be able to buy something.

Honestly, Biden is trying to give Obama a run for his money as the gun salesman of the century, that’s for sure.

Hell, he might even overtake him later this year. Who knows?

What we do know is that we’re going to see a lot more turnout at gun shows than we might have seen a couple of years ago. While there still would have been a significant attendance without Biden’s executive orders, I have little doubt we saw more because of the orders.

That’s the thing about Americans. We’re not really big on being told we can’t do something.

I’m not going to lie, it makes me damn proud to see as well. Biden can talk the game, but at the end of the day, he has to see the American people aren’t going to just roll over and play dead for him.
