I’m not a cryptocurrency guy. I honestly don’t really understand crypto, myself, though multiple people have tried to explain it to me.
What I do get about it, though, is that there are people who really don’t like it, primarily because they can’t control it. That’s also kind of why TUSC came about. TUSC, or “The Universal Service Coin” is a cryptocurrency created specifically for the gun community to use.
And now, TUSC is trying to help the gun community in a different way.
From a press release sent yesterday:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – TUSC and Gun Owners of America (GOA) announced a new partnership following the presentation of a donation of $20,000 worth of TUSC coins to GOA. The donation will launch a cryptocurrency-based endowment as GOA begins to accept TUSC coins for donations.
“GOA is thrilled to be expanding our fundraising and development with cryptocurrency through TUSC coin,” said Erich Pratt, GOA’s Senior Vice President. “Our outstanding partners are essential in our mission of defending the Second Amendment and make it possible for us to protect gun owners across the country and in Washington, D.C.”
Rob McNealy, TUSC’s co-founder, said, “We are very excited to be working with such a professional gun rights organization.” McNealy continued, “GOA has shown what a gun rights organization can accomplish when they are truly mission focused, and the TUSC community is happy to support their mission.”
TUSC is an open source, crypto payments and NFT platform built on a standalone, delegated proof of stake (DPOS) blockchain. TUSC is operated as a community driven Decentralized Autonomous
Organization (DAO). For more information, visit: https://tusc.network/ about .
Some of you love cryptocurrencies and some of you are like me and simply don’t understand it. Others may dislike it for whatever reason.
Regardless, a donation like this matters. Why? Because it’s the gun community standing together.
Look, we may squabble back and forth. There are members of the community I don’t care for and there are plenty more who don’t like me. Pretty much every figure in the is community can say the same.
However, at the end of the day, we all need to stand for our rights by supporting the gun rights organizations that we believe in.
McNealy is doing that by making such a sizeable donation.
Oh, sure, it’s not a multi-million dollar bequeathment or anything, but I don’t think any of us look at $20,000 as anything to sneeze at. Plus, TUSC is still fairly new and growing. Just imagine what they’ll be able to do in the future.
As for TUSC, this is an interesting option that will directly undermine the financial industry’s attempts to throttle the gun industry, so maybe look at investing in that direction if you’re so inclined.
And we all know how hard Gun Owners of America fights for our Second Amendment rights, so it’s probably not a bad idea at looking to contribute some money in that direction as well.
Plus, both Erich Pratty from GOA and McNealy are great guys based on my personal dealings with both, so there’s that, too.
