On the one hand, I'll be glad when the midterm elections are over. The advertisements, the robocalls, the mountains of mailers that were laid to rest on the dining room table before they made their way to the trash — all of it is more than a bit much, even for someone who actually likes politics. Especially when you know that one rich dude with no one to leave anything for seems bound and determined to buy the election all for the purpose of forcing gun control down our throats.

Yes, I'm talking about Michael Bloomberg.

It seems that while Everytown is spending even more cash on midterm ads, he's pumping the organization full of that cash.

With the 2026 election less than two weeks away, gun-control groups continued to dominate gun-policy advertising–thanks substantially to a massive donation from billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

Everytown for Gun Safety, the biggest spender in the gun-policy space this year, announced Wednesday that it will devote $3 million to a digital media campaign targeting gubernatorial races across several battleground states, in conjunction with the Democratic Governors Association. It is probably no coincidence that the October Federal Election Commission (FEC) report for Everytown’s Super PAC shows a newly disclosed $22 million contribution from Bloomberg, the organization’s founder and biggest benefactor. The gift makes 2026 the best midterm fundraising cycle in the history of Everytown’s political operation.

“Every gun safety bill must reach a governor’s desk, and this November voters in Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, and Wisconsin can elect governors who will sign life-saving gun safety bills into law,” John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety, said in a statement.

The new fundraising numbers show Everytown is investing more than ever into the midterms even as polling indicates gun policy is at the bottom of voters’ priority list. If the trend continues, they may also signal a sea change in the gun-money fight. Everytown and its allies have significantly surpassed the National Rifle Association and the other pro-gun groups, which is a reversal from how things have historically gone.

The latest announcement adds to $9 million Everytown has pledged for digital ads aimed at state legislative contests in Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and $10 million in ads targeting congressional races.

Let's keep in mind that Everytown likes to pretend that it speaks for the people, that it's the antithesis of the NRA, which it claims buys politicians and elections, but the NRA is funded not by a rich billionaire like Michael Bloomberg, but by millions of Americans making their annual membership payments.

Keep in mind that Michael Bloomberg essentially paid for this entire campaign season's ad buys out of his own pocket, and then some, all so they can enact more and more laws that will be declared unconstitutional.

Don't get me wrong, some rich people donate to the NRA in big numbers, and some small fish support Everytown, but the fact remains that we're the grassroots side of the debate and they're an example of what happens when someone rich enough decides to get involved in politics.

Not that any of them enjoy the fact that Elon Musk is dabbling in it, but that's only because he thinks the wrong way.

He actually likes guns, for example.

Editor’s Note: The radical Left will stop at nothing to enact their extreme gun control agenda and strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
