Tea Party Movement Will Grow Until the Politicians Behave

Constitution

The United States of America is a nation of laws the People must follow or face a determined consequence. As well, government officials are sworn to follow the US Constitution, act as a representative voice for the People, and provide checks and balances that are transparent and honest.

Fair enough? Nope, not so fast. The People are doing their fair share, but the politicians are not.

In fact, the politicians are doing such a lousy job, that the People have taken to the streets in protest.

No, not the recent mob of college students, professors and Hollywood actors, who blame Wall Street for all their troubles, rather than the politicians who are so busy “fixing” the economy they have busted it wide open. No, we are discussing the Tea Party. These are the folks who are demanding our government officials be held accountable for their actions.

Part of the problem is when the politicians lie, cheat, steal, and beg as they often do, they feed their material to their comrades in the news business, Hollywood, and on college campuses across the nation, leaving a People misinformed and brainwashed to believe all is well with the Obama administration, it’s _______ fault. Pick a word, any word, as long as it’s not Obama’s fault, we’re cool.

Glaring example No. 1:

Bantering with the audience at a fundraiser in St. Louis yesterday, President Barack Obama bragged about a new regulation, proposed by the Department of Health and Human Services, that the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has denounced as an “unprecedented attack on religious liberty.” “Darn right!” an audience member at the fundraiser shouted as Obama described the regulation.  “Darn tooting!” Obama said back.

At a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at the Renaissance Hotel in St. Louis last night, Obama touted the “preventive services” regulation to an appreciative audience.

“[Insurance companies] won’t be able to deny your coverage because of preexisting conditions.  Think about what that means for families all across America. Think about what it means for women.” At that point, an audience member shouted: “Birth control.” “Absolutely. You’re stealing my line,” said Obama.

Obama continued. “No longer can insurance companies discriminate against women just because you guys are the ones who have to give birth.” At this point, a member of a laughing audience shouted out: “Darn right!”  “Darn tooting,” Obama answered back—to laughter.

Here we have a President who in two different speeches to two different groups of people, says two different things, polar opposite, the crowd cheers, and everyone’s happy. The man plays both sides of the fence and the big television networks say nothing.

Glaring example No. 2:

House Republicans are calling for a special counsel to determine whether Attorney General Eric Holder misled Congress during his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on Operation Fast and Furious. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, was sending a letter to President Obama on Tuesday arguing that Holder cannot investigate himself, and requesting the president instruct the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel.

The question is whether Holder knowingly made false statements of fact under oath during a Judiciary Committee hearing on May 3. At the time, Holder indicated he was not familiar with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives program known as Fast and Furious until about April 2011.
“I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks,” Holder testified.

However, newly discovered memos suggest otherwise. For instance, one memo dated July 2010 shows Michael Walther, director of the National Drug Intelligence Center, told Holder that straw buyers in the Fast and Furious operation “are responsible for the purchase of 1,500 firearms that were then supplied to the Mexican drug trafficking cartels.”

Here we have an attorney general who LIED to save himself and the President, before a Congressional hearing concerning the implementation of a federal program known as “Fast and Furious” gone wrong when two ATF agents and dozens of others were killed in the process.

Clearly, we have a delusional president who thinks the People are a bunch of idiots not paying attention to his own words, and a Justice Department who believes they are above the law, and can straight up LIE to the People.

So when the Tea Party speaks out about the problems in government, we are called “terrorists” by the sycophants in government and media who parrot the Obama administration every chance they get. Recall “terrorist” is a term the Whitehouse refrains from using for fear of offending terrorists, except for the Tea Party.  Here the Whitehouse happily says “open fire!”
