Why Activist's Prompt to 'Hunt' ICE isn't Just an ICE Problem

While ICE seems to be interacting with the public in ways they never have before, the truth is that the public has never been so hostile to ICE before. They've rarely, if ever, interfered with ICE operations, and there weren't mass protests against ICE while they tried to do their jobs.

Moreover, there haven't been the threats against ICE before, either.

The Mexican cartels have a bounty on ICE agents, for one thing. There's a reason agents now wear masks, contrary to what some on the extreme left might claim.

But recently, one anti-ICE activist crossed the line and got arrested for his trouble.

A self-identified Antifa member, Kyle Wagner, was arrested Thursday on federal threat and cyberstalking charges following alleged murder and assault threats against Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Wagner, 37 of Minneapolis, is expected to make an initial appearance in federal court today.

According to the criminal complaint, Wagner has escalated his opposition to ICE operations, including conspiring and threatening to assault federal law enforcement officers in Minneapolis. In January 2026, Wagner repeatedly posted on Facebook and Instagram, encouraging his followers to forcibly confront, assault, impede, oppose, and resist federal officers whom he referred to as the “Gestapo” and “murderers.”

“This man allegedly doxxed and called for the murder of law enforcement officers, encouraged bloodshed in the streets, and proudly claimed affiliation with the terrorist organization Antifa before going on the run,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “Today’s arrest illustrates that you cannot run, you cannot hide, and you cannot evade our federal agents: if you come for law enforcement, the Trump Administration will come for you.”

On January 8, 2026, Wagner posted a video directly threatening ICE agents by stating, “I’ve already bled for this city, I’ve already fought for this city, this is nothing new, we’re ready this time, ICE we’re f---ing coming for you.” The following day, Wagner posted about the “constant harassment of ICE” and said that “we need to continue that, but we also need to cripple them.” Wagner then advocated for physical confrontation, stating, “Anywhere we have an opportunity to get our hands on them, we need to put our hands on them.”

Now, as bad as this is on the surface, especially for ICE agents, it gets worse.

As you may already know, there have been efforts to go after ICE agents. Cars have been vandalized, and people suspected of being ICE agents have faced harassment. The problem is that these aren't ICE vehicles or agents.

In other words, some of the morons out there get it in their heads and have decided that people are ICE agents because they drive black SUVs or because they look somewhat athletic and have short hair or something. They've decided that fighting for the cause doesn't actually require them to make sure of their target's affiliations before engaging.

While vandalism and harassment are terrible, one has to wonder just how long until things escalate.

We've seen actual attacks on ICE personnel and facilities. As the harassment campaign started the same way, can we just ignore the possibility that someone may identify one of us as ICE simply because we look like we're not an anti-ICE dirtball? Black is a popular color of car, and SUVs are super popular, too. How many can tell the difference between a Chevy Suburban and a Tahoe or any other SUV? Not enough to trust that they'll know better before coming after you.

So, until things fully settle, it would behoove all of us to keep our heads on a swivel and make sure we're fully prepared to defend ourselves if one of these lunatics decides to make a name for themselves by taking out the ICE agent that only exists in their delusions.
